Forest Hill Swim School
In May 2013, Michael G. Domb founded the Forest Hill Swim School, a Toronto swim school servicing a community of 120 clients from around the city. Born in Toronto, Canada, Domb attended and graduated the prestigious North Toronto Collegiate Institute (NTCI) and continued his studies at the University of Toronto.
At age 14, Domb achieved his first major life accomplishment by flying a Cessna-172 aircraft solo, making him one of the youngest pilots in the country. Less than half a year later, while pursuing further endeavors in the air, an aircraft Domb was piloting suffered from icing while on a solo training flight out of the Billy Bishop (Toronto Island) Airport. At age fifteen, Domb saw his last solo flight as an insturmentless landing to an audience of fire trucks and ambulances.
Slightly more humble, Domb began to shift his focus to his land-bound endeavors. In 2010, Domb qualified for the Canadian Triathlon team in Kelowna, British Columbia at the Canadian National Triathlon Championships. In 2011, Domb competed with Team Canada at the Triathlon World Championships in Beijing, China where he placed in the top 20. Continuing to challenge his physical limits, Domb competed at the 2012 U.S National Triathlon Championships in Burlington, Vermont where he achieved a high enough standing to qualify for the Team USA delegation to the 2012 Triathlon World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand.
Deciding to decline his nomination to the U.S team due to an injury suffered in the year preceding the race, Domb found the opportunity to combine his love for elite sports and healthy living by founding the Forest Hill Swim School. Within two weeks of its founding, Domb's small initiative expanded from a 2-family school to a 120 family, full functioning business.
Along with his small team of four qualified and experienced instructors, Domb continues to build a highly individualized swim school in his home city of Toronto. In his personal life, Domb enjoys travelling, flying, and sports.
